Sadly, I am still a member of this club, having sold my 2d item today. So...you will see one of my items on there, until I make my 5 sales. *laughs*
So, here we go!!!

thanks for including me! sounds cute, five and under. I thought it was a post about children's items at first. maybe when we make more sales we grow up and join the adult world.
I puzzle sometimes as to how some people sell sell sell and I struggle. All the stuff above is beautiful. Guess its luck, media savvy, and being patient until I find the right niche or the right niche finds me :)
I dream about finding someone to do all the marketing for me. Note to universe... I want a marketing genius!
keep trucking! we do this because we love to do it and making money is the second half.
It is always very hard to get started in a business. I used to make beaded jewelry about 5 years ago, and had *just* started to get the hang....then I got into an online game, then Second Life (where I have a store that I am neglecting right now...I plan on getting back to it soon)...It takes a while, learning, experimenting, and refining your product.
Best thing is patience...look at some of the other stores, and then look at your own. Descriptions. Photography. Design around the photography (too busy, too plain, too dark/light, etc). Pricing is especially important...don't undercut yourself because "i'm new". Profile and Banner (erm....don't look at mine...still need to do that). A little snippet at the bottom of each, i.e. "I pack it in 50 layers of the finest silk, hand carry it to your door with 50 children in front of me to keep the cars from running it over, after autoclaving it and sealing it atmospherically"...erm...okay. Check your titles (another thing I need to do) for keywords, etc.
Network with others...facebook, blog, twitter.
It takes a bit...but, it will happen! I'm relearning how...but if i could do it before, I can do it again!
Thanks so much! I was so excited to see your email! I love making jewelry..I have been selling here in Hampton Roads for about 7 years or so....to my clients. I am a nail tech also....for 23 years! I am trying to expand here on Etsy. I know it takes time and there are alot of great artist here! I have also trying networking to a facebook fanpage....my of my clients instructed me this would be a good idea!

I am still gettting the hang of it. I also have learned that in order to get regular viewing to the public, I think its important to list regularly and on weekends, when more people are likely to view...its a learning process for sure! Congratulations on your 2nd sale! Its exciting! Thanks again for noticing! Your work is beautiful also....had to take a look! *Katt*
I am so glad, Katt...and yes, facebooks are supposed to be very good also (I am good at collecting snippets of information, just...lazy implementing at times! *laughs*).
Now...if I could stop working for a week or two, and get my internet back (we have 2 internets here at home, weird setup...the dongle on my laptop broke, and i won't get the replacement for 2-3 more days...and we can't get the "home" one to accept my computer. weird.........
Anyway...thank you for your comments...I love seeing them!
Hahaha, my things are right there with the rest of the posts!
WOW! really loving the chair and the gem tree. Fantastic stuff.
